Workforce Develop. Coach

The Workforce Development Coach is a part-time position. In part, the WDC runs the social enterprise, Sparrow House Botanicals. The WDC also runs Redeemed's workforce preparation stages as well as supervises clients who work at the social enterprise. The WDC provides clients transportation to and from work, job interviews, classes, and "Dress for Success' appointments. The WDC also leads residents to adhere to policies and procedures both at work and within the program. The WDC leads a weekly class in the residential program, CCL (Communications and Computer Literacy). The WDC works with clients on their budgets and helps them financially plan for their futures and pay off any previous debts. The WDC also encourages the spiritual growth of residents in everyday activities without undue pressure.

Weekend Warrior

Weekend Warriors serve in both volunteer and paid positions. Weekend Warriors provide much-needed respite for our Live-In staff and serve in the Sparrow House from 5pm Friday afternoon until 5pm Sunday afternoon. They essentially live in the house with the Full-time staff person and the Sparrows over the weekend and participate in Sparrow House activities. Weekend Warriors need to be flexible, mature women who are able to safely transport women in their personal vehicles to various locations, assist with cooking meals, participate in fun weekend outings and make solid decisions in crisis situations.
